Arlington, VA (December 14, 2023) – GHT Limited (GHT), a leading DC metro area mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm, is pleased to welcome Senior Commissioning Specialist Rene Sorra, CxA to the team.
With more than 35 years of experience in project management, engineering design, and commissioning, Rene has established himself as a prominent commissioning authority with a proven record of more than three million square feet commissioned to date. As GHT’s Senior Commissioning Specialist, Rene will continue the firm’s commissioning history by ensuring that the designed and installed MEP systems meet Owner requirements, are performing efficiently, and that the building operators are properly trained.
As part of our Operations & Energy Services (OES) studio, Rene will provide support for buildings throughout their lifecycle through the delivery of comprehensive commissioning services that enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and provide long-term reliability. Senior Principal and OES Studio Leader, Jeffrey Salay, remarks that “Rene’s leadership and technical insight will be instrumental in the growth of the studio.”
With an extensive commissioning portfolio ranging from healthcare facilities to institutional campuses, Rene’s technical insight and resources will support the development of the commissioning team. “With his expertise, Rene will champion GHT’s commissioning services through expansion into new markets and environments, such as data centers, biolabs, and specialized research facilities,” says President Patrick Kunze.
