Since 2018, the District of Columbia has committed to aggressive sustainability goals, including cutting DC’s greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2032. This course, led by Senior Principal Jeffrey Salay, provides an overview of recent legislation, from the Clean Energy DC Act and the District’s Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) standards to renewable energy and carbon neutrality.

This course also describes the changes coming for DC building owners with the introduction of the BEPS program and how existing buildings will be impacted by these new requirements. Lastly, our instructors will introduce the compliance pathways and provide updates from the latest BEPS Task Force Meetings.
