  • Assistant Project Manager of Design/Build Services (2001INSapm01)

    A Northern Virginia leading MEP design engineering consulting firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager of Design/Build Services with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the mechanical or general contracting field. The selected candidate will possess a vital role in a wholly owned subsidiary (InsiGHT Construct, LLC).

    The primary duties include:

    • Managing projects through construction
    • Overseeing of subcontractors
    • Preparing and overseeing project schedules
    • Managing RFIs, submittals, and subcontractor payment requisitions
    • Facilitating project meetings
    • Preparing meeting minutes.

     
    The successful candidate will assist with other project services while interfacing with clients and assisting both the Project Manager and Executive Director. The individual must be a team player, able to communicate effectively with owners and the design team; as well as, be proactive in resolving difficult or complicated challenges. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project or other Project Management software are desired. Certifications for First Aid, CPR, and OSHA are preferred but not required.

    GHT Limited, a Northern Virginia leading MEP design engineering consulting firm, is seeking an energetic, experienced Director of Human Resources to join our rapidly growing firm. Primary responsibilities for this position will include leadership in the development and execution of human resources programs to ensure an exceptional employee experience. Strategies will include but are not limited to: succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development and compensation. The Director of Human Resources will develop these strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This position will also provide internal leadership to the Board of Directors by articulating human resources needs and plans.

    Director of Human Resources – Responsibilities:

    1. Champion the GHT culture
    2. Evaluate and implement HR strategies which effectively communicates firm’s vision and strategic plan, including achievement of business objectives.
    3. Serve as a partner to the corporate leadership team and each department regarding key organizational and management issues
    4. Direct overall HR strategy across the company
    5. Improve and standardize current HR processes and recommend enhancements to the HRIS.
    6. Provide overall leadership and guidance to Human Resources by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, recruitment and retention and employee training
    7. Collaborate with corporate leadership team to establish management succession plans which complement firm strategy
    8. Develop comprehensive recruiting and retention plans which meet the human capital needs of the firm
    9. Develop and implement compensation and benefit plans that are cost-effective and meet the needs of our employees
    10. Partner with the marketing team on activities and campaigns related to employment branding, including but not limited to attracting talent, recruiting, employee training and development, and retention
    11. Partner with the marketing team to drive employee engagement, including supervising engagement surveys, collecting feedback and driving improvements
    12. Support the marketing team with internal communications
    13. Work with all members of the firm to foster an environment of diversity, equity and inclusion
    14. Adopt a big-picture approach to ensure human resources policies and procedures fit organizational needs and objectives

    Knowledge and Experience Required:

    1. 10-15 years’ experience in human resources, including in a leadership position
    2. Demonstrated ability to strategically evaluate and implement sophisticated HR programs and initiatives
    3. Demonstrated experience working with corporate leaders to build consensus around HR programs and strategies
    4. Proven ability to manage the talent acquisition process
    5. Strong understanding and practical knowledge of HR compliance areas, including federal, state and local employment law, specifically in Virginia
    6. Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to trust and be trusted
    7. Effective listening skills; must be able to articulate a compelling message; clarity and conciseness in written and oral presentations
    8. Able to bring credibility to the HR function through professional qualifications and leadership skills
    9. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required.
    10. MBA and/or SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

  • Operations Phase Services Senior Representative (1908OESsr01)

    GHT Limited, a leading DC metro area MEP engineering consulting firm located in Arlington, VA, seeks an Operations Phase Services Senior Representative.

    The OPS-SR is responsible for preparing and executing consulting service tasks for GHT clients as part of GHT’s Operations and Energy Services (OES) Team. These tasks will deal with a variety of work items that focus on the successful operation of client MEP systems. The OPS-SR will be required to act as a Commissioning Authority (CxA) on MEP projects, perform engineering analysis, provide design services, interface with clients, prepare project schedules, manage sub-tasks as required to successfully complete work assigned, manage sub-consultants, and coordinate activities with other GHT staff. The OPS-SR is expected to have the breadth of skills and experience required to work independently on a day to day basis. The OPS-SR will report directly to the section head, who reports to the studio leader.

    Candidate must have 10+ years of experience in post-construction and building operations services for commercial construction, and must have a broad, knowledge of MEP systems operation, installation, and design. Knowledge of LEED Cx roles and responsibilities, good communication and computer skills, and proficiency in MicroSoft Word and Excel are required. Accreditation as a Certified Cx Professional (CCP) is preferred, but other commissioning certifications will also be considered . This individual must be able to move throughout buildings and equipment rooms with varying temperatures, ascend and descend ladders to assess areas above concealed ceilings, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to and from survey sites.
