GHT Gives Back

GHT Limited has maintained its headquarters in the Arlington-Ballston neighborhood of Northern Virginia since 1965. GHT is committed to taking an active role in improving the quality of life in our community through volunteering our time, providing financial assistance and sharing resources.

Our community partnerships benefit both GHT and the organizations we serve by improving the quality of life in the region where we live, work and play. GHT employees regularly donate their time and energy to these causes, whose shared values and mission resonate with our firm and business practices.

We are proud to support and serve the following organizations:

Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)

The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) is the only organization solely dedicated to providing Arlington residents with dignified access to nutritious, supplemental groceries free of charge. Since the 1980s, AFAC has remained committed to its simple but critical mission of obtaining and distributing groceries, directly and free of charge, to people living in Arlington who cannot afford to purchase enough food to meet their basic needs.

As a long-time business operating in Arlington, with many of our employees calling the area home, GHT understands that the high costs of living in our area, combined with the current economic situation, may cause many families to struggle to make ends meet. We are proud to support AFAC through financial donations, food drives and regular volunteering at their Nelson Street distribution facility. For more information on AFAC and to contribute to their mission, visit: https://afac.org/about/what-we-do/.

GHT Limited staff regularly volunteer at AFAC’s Nelson Street distribution facility.

U.S. Green Building Council – National Capital Region

The National Capital Region community of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC-NCR) is working to make healthier, sustainable buildings a reality for the residents of the DC Metropolitan Region. At the foundation of their work is a commitment to sustainability, innovation and energy efficiency – core values which resonate with GHT Limited and our mission to transform the built environment. We support USGBC-NCR through financial donations, resources and volunteering.

GHT employees serve on the Market Leadership Advisory Board (MLAB) for the community and help USGBC-NCR deliver on their mission to advance sustainable buildings through advocacy, education and networking. Special Olympics DC

The District of Columbia branch of the Special Olympics organization is the sole provider of sports, health and inclusion programs in our Nation’s Capital. Their programs benefit over 1,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the District. These services are provided at no cost to participants through the efforts and donations of community partners.

GHT is proud to support Special Olympics DC annually through our close partnership with Brookfield Properties. To learn more about their programs and services, visit: http://specialolympicsdc.org/get-involved/.
