AC Hotel National Landing

Marriott has reimagined its National Landing property, embracing the AC Hotel brand to offer a sophisticated, modern hospitality experience tailored to the needs of business travelers.

Through GHT’s expert mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design, the hotel now features innovative systems that elevate comfort, maximize operational efficiency, and create an exceptional guest experience. Every aspect of the transformation, from energy-saving strategies to seamless indoor-outdoor spaces, reflects a commitment to contemporary style and thoughtful engineering, setting a new standard for hospitality in the region.

Working closely with the design team, the project program extended the building façade and opened the ground floor to a vibrant hospitality environment. The redesigned lobby, bar, and restaurant now offer seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity, inviting guests to enjoy flexible dining options. Operable glass partitions allow the restaurant to open the patio on optimal weather days. To conserve energy, an indicator light signals the mechanical system to turn off when doors are open. Elevated exterior lighting and fire pits create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for outdoor gatherings.

The second floor introduces renovated meeting rooms, additional guest accommodations, and a 4,000 SF fitness center designed for wellness and flexibility. Advanced VRF systems and 100% dedicated outdoor air energy recovery units ensure fresh air and energy efficiency, while repurposed mechanical exhaust reduces system loads. Across floors 2 through 11, 355 guest rooms were upgraded with modern fixtures and new packaged terminal air conditioning (PTAC) units, delivering reliable heating, cooling, and ventilation for a comfortable stay.

By integrating innovative energy-saving strategies and prioritizing guest comfort, this project exemplifies how advanced engineering solutions can transform spaces into dynamic, vibrant hospitality destinations that set new standards for excellence.
