James Yang delivers highly creative, technically exceptional designs for plumbing systems. As the firm’s Discipline Leader for plumbing engineering and Plumbing Section Head of GHT’s Building Systems studio, he provides design guidance, technical support, quality control, and workload management, with a focus on thorough documentation and technical accuracy. James’ experience includes plumbing and fire protection design, hydraulic calculation for fire protection, and construction phase services for a variety of commercial, governmental, and institutional projects. He holds a Journeyman Plumber license from the State of Colorado and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

James serves as an Alternate Member of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) Plumbing and Fuel Gas Board. He is also a member of the mechanical Technical Advisory Group (TAG) subcommittee of Washington DC’s Construction Codes Coordinating Board (CCCB).
