Patrick Kunze

President

Patrick Kunze is committed to advancing sustainable design practices in the building industry. He contributed to the development of questions for the Green Building Council Certification Institute (GBCI) LEED AP exam, and as a voting member of the Green Technical Advisory Group (TAG) subcommittee of Washington DC’s Construction Codes Coordinating Board (CCCB), he helped review and amend the DC Green Construction Code. Patrick also frequently shares insights on high-performance building mechanical systems and related trends with his clients and industry partners. Patrick’s dedication to sustainability in building design helps at a government and policy level to better the built environment and earned him the Leadership in Government, Advocacy, or Policy award from the US Green Building Council – National Capital Region in 2017.

Patrick has provided mechanical engineering design for more than 30 projects that have achieved LEED certification, including the US Green Building Council’s Platinum headquarters. His project portfolio includes commercial interiors, specialized multi-floor tenant spaces, mission-critical facilities, restaurants/food service environments, and historic renovations.

He is a registered professional engineer in DC, Maryland and Virginia and ten other jurisdictions; as well as an International Code Council (ICC) Certified Plans Examiner / Code Inspector.
