GHT Announces Leadership Transition

GHT is pleased to announce a planned leadership transition, naming Senior Principal Patrick Kunze as President.

Patrick will transition into the role of President from Paul O’Brien, who has served as the firm’s President since 2000. Paul has led the organization’s growth across the region for the last twenty years, building the firm into a successful MEP engineering and sustainability consulting firm. GHT has been consistently recognized as one of the Top 100 MEP Giants nationwide, as well as a Top 20 local engineering firm by the Washington Business Journal.

As a key component of the company’s succession plan, Patrick assumes the role of President after serving as Senior Principal for the last seven years and most recently serving as Studio Leader for GHT’s thriving Interiors studio. Since joining the firm in 2004, Patrick has also taken on increasing leadership for the company’s operations, human resources, and focused growth in sustainable engineering design.

“During his tenure with GHT, Patrick has demonstrated a natural ability for creative leadership, with an unwavering commitment to delivering quality for our clients,” says Paul O’Brien. “GHT will undoubtedly flourish under his direction and we look forward to the key role he will play in ensuring that GHT continues delivering sustainable, high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.” Paul will continue an active role in GHT’s daily operations, including business development, client relations, and providing high-performance designs for commercial office buildings, and multi-family and interiors clients.  He will work closely alongside Patrick to ensure a seamless transition for the company’s executive team.
