GHT was recognized with two USGBC NCR Community Leader Awards at the 21st Annual A Midsummer Night’s Green.
1771 N Street received the Innovative Project of the Year award in the New Construction category. As the MEP engineer for this repositioning project, GHT helped to transform 1771 N Street into an amenity-rich, trophy-class office building with indoor air quality strategies that promote enhanced occupant health and well-being.
Brookfield Properties’ DC Corporate Office received the Innovative Project of the Year award in the Interiors category. GHT provided MEP engineering design services that contributed to the office’s LEED Gold certification.
The Community Leader Awards promote and recognize excellence in sustainable design, environmental stewardship, and community impact and highlight the green building initiatives and achievements of local projects, businesses, and individual leaders. According to the USGBC National Capital Region, the projects awarded at this year’s A Midsummer Night’s Green “honor innovative, high-performance projects that are leading the way to a greener tomorrow for all in the DMV region”.
USGBC NCR celebrated 1771 N Street and Brookfield Properties’ DC Corporate Office, along with other award-winning projects on Thursday, July 21st, at Arena Stage in Washington, DC. GHT is proud to be among the members honored at this awards ceremony.
