GHT received the Excellence in Sustainability Award of Merit for the Wheaton Revitalization Project as part of the ENR Mid-Atlantic Regional Best Projects Awards.
This award ceremony honors the best regional construction projects, judged using criteria, including safety, innovation, and teamwork. For the sustainability award, projects were judged on sustainability information, including strategy, choice of materials, energy savings, and more.
For the Wheaton Revitalization Project, GHT partnered with other experts to capitalize on the combined benefits of geothermal walls, solar arrays, and high-performing Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS). As the first government office building in Maryland to be LEED Platinum-certified, this project has become an exceptional embodiment of sustainability.
ENR celebrated this and other winning projects on Thursday, October 28th, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor. GHT is proud to be among the talented members honored at this awards ceremony.
