Leading DC Metro Area MEP Firm Earns Recognition for Sustainable Business Practices and
Meghan McAvoy Recognized as Member of the Year
Arlington, VA (July 27, 2020) – GHT Limited (GHT), a leading DC metro area mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm is pleased to announce the receipt of several awards at the 18th annual Midsummer Night’s Green, held virtually on July 23, 2020 with the U.S. Green Building Council, National Capital Region.
GHT received the Community Leadership Award for Leadership in Sustainable Business Practices, in the “Corporate” category, which recognizes privately owned business with over $5M in annual revenue. The coveted award selects one business in the NCR community which demonstrates an unusually high, innovative or influential level of commitment to sustainability for this annual honor.
GHT’s Sustainable Programs Manager, Meghan McAvoy, LEED AP O+M, BD+C, WELL AP, TRUE Advisor also received the Volunteer Leadership – “Member of the Year” award in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to the USGBC NCR community through her personal time and energy, including leading new initiatives for the organization’s Emerging Professionals committee.
USGBC-NCR Director Mark Bryan recognized GHT for Leadership in Sustainable Business Practices, stating “GHT Limited has demonstrated an advanced commitment to sustainability through their business operations and rigorous education and training for not only their employees, but other industry professionals.
