Firm Promotes Laura Morder, PE, LEED Green Associate and Lionel Taylor, II to Principal
Arlington, VA (April 18, 2023) – GHT Limited (GHT), a leading DC metro area mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm is pleased to announce the promotion of two individuals to the role of Principal.
Laura Morder, PE, LEED Green Associate – Operations & Energy Services (OES) Studio
GHT is pleased to recognize Laura Morder with a promotion to Principal. As a senior mechanical design engineer in GHT’s OES Studio, Laura provides project management and detailed mechanical engineering design solutions for commercial building projects throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan region. Since joining the firm 11 years ago, Laura has demonstrated ingenuity, a dedication to client service and passion for sustainable design – most recently, taking on primary responsibility for GHT’s BEPS portfolio. “Laura’s drive for excellence, combined with her commitment to building client relationships, is impressive and we are pleased to welcome her to the GHT leadership team,” said President Patrick Kunze, PE, LEED AP. Laura’s career accomplishments are matched by her community involvement – she is the co-founder of the Women in ASHRAE committee for the National Capital Chapter and is actively involved in recruiting the next generation of female engineers to the industry.
Lionel Taylor, II – Interiors Studio
GHT is pleased to recognize Lionel Taylor, II with a promotion to Principal. As a senior electrical designer in GHT’s Interiors Studio, Lionel provides project management and quality control for a host of tenant interior projects, from corporate headquarters and healthcare to government and law firms. He joined the firm in 2007 and has since become recognized by clients and peers alike as a project manager “who gets the job done.” He also has spearheaded initiatives with GHT’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, including internal video campaigns and career days with STEM students. President Patrick Kunze adds “Lionel is universally liked and respected among his clients for his ability to deliver even the most difficult projects within budget and on time – he is a tremendous addition to the GHT leadership team,” Lionel also recently completed his Bachelor of Business Administration with University of Maryland Global Campus.
