The Warner Building

GHT has been part of The Warner Building’s iconic history since the early 1990s. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design for the complete renovation and restoration of the historic theatre building and the new construction of the adjacent 600,000 SF, 13-story office building, completed in 1993. GHT balanced the required design elements and considerations for a historic renovation and the equally sophisticated elements of modern MEP design required to meet Class-A office standards.

Current owner Vornado/Charles E. Smith engaged GHT to provide MEP engineering design for a recent repositioning of the office building. Completed in 2012, they included:

  • Renovation of the atrium lobby
  • A new rooftop Sky Terrace that offers meeting and entertainment space with expansive views
  • Upgraded entrance and elevator lobbies
  • New high-end fitness center

GHT has also provided MEP engineering design for several tenant fit-outs in the building, including Baker Botts, Cooley, and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan.
