Fundamental Commissioning for a federal tenant office space at Two Constitution Square was completed in accordance with LEED Version 3.0 guidelines. The base building achieved LEED Platinum under the LEED for Core & Shell™ rating system.
A decoupled mechanical system allows conference rooms on each floor to be used as a shelter-in-place. Each has its own pantry and rest room, and is sealed off from the general office space using recirculated air. Air conditioning for mission critical facilities is tied to 24/7 looped condenser water system backed up by a generator. Sustainable features include a graywater system supplied by chiller blowdown and the use of condensate to provide all water for urinals and water closets.
