Susan Dawson oversees GHT’s marketing and communications initiatives, including the support of client relationships and communication of the firm’s capabilities, projects, and latest innovative efforts. She works in partnership with GHT’s corporate leadership and marketing staff to increase the firm’s visibility in the marketplace and executes marketing programs that align with the strategic goals of the firm.
Susan has over 12 years of experience in the AEC industry, beginning her career in construction field operations and project management before transitioning to focus on marketing and proposal development.
She is active in the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and serves on the Market Leadership Advisory Board of United States Green Building Council (USGBC) DC Chapter; and has served as an Ambassador for Junior Achievement of Greater Washington and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. She has held multiple speaking engagements with SMPS, including at their Northeast Regional and Virginia Conferences on the subjects of marketing team management, employee onboarding and strategic marketing. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty designation in Building Design + Construction.
