Geoff Phillips

Director of Human Resources

As the Director of Human Resources, Geoff Phillips is responsible for the development and execution of human resource initiatives that align with GHT’s strategic objectives and foster an environment of belonging and accessibility. With 30 years of professional experience covering people operations and strategy, including firms focused on heavy civil, mechanical, plumbing, and specialty contracting, Geoff leverages his knowledge to design and implement unique programs to sustain and enhance GHT’s culture.

As a collaborative partner to the corporate leadership team, Geoff is engaged in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), succession planning, talent management, change management, HR technology, organizational and performance management, training and development, communication, and total rewards systems. In addition to being a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Geoff has done substantial work with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington on the DC Legislative Committee and Management Training Committee. Outside of work, Geoff enjoys regional and international travel with his partner, experimental cooking, hiking, and unique dining experiences.
