Bill Gerke, PE | Senior Principal

Marc Soulier | Principal

As a Principal and the Mechanical Section Head for the Building Systems studio, Marc is instrumental in mechanical design development, project management practices, and the mentorship of emerging professionals at GHT. For the past 35 years, Marc has spent his career providing mechanical systems design leadership for commercial office buildings, mission-critical and raised-floor computer spaces, mixed-use developments, and historic renovations.

Lionel Taylor | Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate and Electrical Designer in GHT’s Interiors Studio, Lionel is responsible for project management, design, and providing quality control to ensure technical accuracy, design excellence, and cross-discipline coordination. With more than 20 years of experience at the firm, Lionel’s focus on assuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget is what has made him a successful project manager at GHT.

Jeffrey Salay, PE, CEM, LEED AP | Senior Principal

As a Senior Principal and the Studio Leader of Building Energy Services in GHT’s Operations & Energy Services (OES) studio, Jeffrey develops solutions for long-term energy efficiency. He applies his background in mechanical engineering to support the design of high-performance systems for commercial, government, residential, educational, and senior care facilities. Jeffrey’s boundless enthusiasm and dedication to remediating project issues are what make him the go-to troubleshooter for all things energy-related. He is routinely called upon as an expert in DC buildings, where he’s been working for nearly three decades.

Brad McNiff, PE, LEED AP, WELL AP | Principal

Brad McNiff specializes in sustainable mechanical engineering design for interior and base building spaces. As a GHT Principal, he provides project management, design, and energy audits for projects ranging from small commercial spaces to large-scale mixed-use facilities, office buildings, and government facilities. Brad’s project portfolio includes more than 30 LEED-certified spaces and 2 WELL-certified projects. He also has extensive experience working with Revit® MEP, a Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.

Laura Morder, PE, LEED Green Associate | Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate and mechanical design engineer for GHT’s OES Studio, Laura provides project management and detailed mechanical engineering design solutions for commercial building projects in the Washington, DC metro area. Her expertise in Revit® MEP, a Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, coupled with her meticulous work ethic, has contributed to an outstanding project portfolio of government facilities, commercial kitchens, law firms, building repositioning, equipment replacements, and controls specifications. With nearly a decade of experience, Laura’s ingenuity has shaped countless commercial interiors projects, central plant designs, as well as building compliance and acoustic studies.

Andrew Walsh | Senior Associate

Andrew is a Senior Associate and member of GHT’s Technology studio. He offers strong experience working with AutoCAD and Revit© MEP, a Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. As an Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit©, Andrew’s expertise in the latest drafting technologies provides clients with high-quality models and drawings that foster a collaborative experience for project teams. With his primary focus on Revit© and BIM, Andrew has disseminated his knowledge and expertise to his peers through internal training sessions for GHT team members. He has also been instrumental in developing design standards for the firm.
