GHT Associate wins USGBC-NCR’s Volunteer Leadership Award
Arlington, VA (July 22, 2021) – GHT Limited (GHT), a leading DC metro area mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm, announces that Associate Bailey Estes, EIT, LEED Green Associate received the U.S. Green Building Council-National Capital Region’s (USGBC-NCR) Volunteer Leadership Award – Member of the Year at the organization’s 20th Annual A Midsummer Night’s Green event on July 22, 2021.
According to USGBC-NCR, the Member of the Year award recognizes the National Capital Chapter’s “most energetic, engaged, and supportive individual members. Members who have made outstanding commitments through their personal time and energy, community connections, or other support to USGBC-NCR.” For two and a half years, Bailey has worked diligently to enhance and develop USGBC-NCR programming for Women in Green. In addition to her contributions as a Women in Green Committee Member, Bailey dedicates her time to several other industry organizations, including ASHRAE-NCC. Through her work on the Women in ASHRAE Committee, the Women in Green Committee, and her support for Women in STEM high school programs, Bailey serves as a passionate advocate for women in the industry.
USGBC-NCR Senior Program Manager, Jennifer Wellman-Andryuk praises Bailey for her volunteered time and dedication to the chapter; “Estes’ work has been instrumental in the growth of USGBC NCR, especially our Women in Green programing.
