Boston Consulting Group, one of the largest global management consulting firms, relocated its regional headquarters from Bethesda, MD to Washington, DC, intent on creating a high-energy environment for staff and clients.
GHT provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services for the 80,000 SF space, which spans two floors and incorporates open workstations and private offices.
As part of the initial lease negotiations, the GHT team conducted an MEP building review to ensure alignment with Boston Consulting Group’s space and system requirements. To support the firm’s operations, the office features several specialty spaces with extensive MEP coordination including IDF rooms and mini-market self-serve coolers with 24/7 HVAC, a café and lunchroom with dishwasher exhaust, and a multi-purpose room with supplemental HVAC.
